Steven Roloff | Systems Engineering Manager
I followed in the footsteps of my grandfathers when I made the decision to pursue a career in the steel industry. I began my journey in the quality department at CMC, then transitioned to maintenance, and eventually joined the Systems team for the CMC Steel Oklahoma project. During this project, I built a strong relationship with the Systems team, which led me to sign on with them and work alongside Rodger Rogers at Nucor Sedalia and Frostproof. I now serve as the Engineering Manager, where we’ve built an impressive team. We collaborate with all of Systems’ divisions and clients to enhance project efficiency and resolve issues before they become visible. The industry has come a long way since my grandparents’ time, and I’m excited to be a part of the innovations that lie ahead.
I’ve been writing music for over ten years. My songs are deeply personal, based on my own experiences, with no filters. I find that writing with others in mind often strips a song of its authenticity, and nobody enjoys feeling patronized.
“The Steelmaker’s Song” flowed naturally from my experiences in the steel industry, conveying the pride shared by everyone involved in building our country.
